GROHMANN KNIVES - During the late 1950's, D.H. Russell, owner of a cutlery store in Toronto, Canada, designed The Original Canadian Belt Knife. He soon found that demand for his new design was so great that he brought an experienced Cutler from Europe to make the knives. Rudolf Grohmann and his family then settled in Canada and founded Grohmann Knives. Located in Pictou, Nova Scotia, all of the D.H. Russell Belt knives have been been produced there from the beginning.
Grohmann knives are recognized around the world for their exceptional beauty, balance and quality. They are designed to meet the rigorous demands faced by those who must make a living from or survive in the Canadian outdoors, and have won more than 25 international honors including a display at New York's prestigious Museum of Modern Art. The blades are crafted from high carbon German stainless steel at 56-58 Rc.
