The exciting new 2006 Sisu fixed blade features a precision ground, mirror-polish 4 in. VG-1 San Mai III steel blade with taper ground Sword point, vacuum heat-treated and sub zero quenched for maximum strength, toughness and edge retention. The handles are 4-5/8 in. highly polished Black Linen Micarta with highly polished nickel silver bolster and hilt. Comes complete with a leather sheath which is equipped with an internal synthetic safety liner. Weighs 4.6 oz. The Sisu is patterned after the Pukko, Finland's national knife. The word "Pukko" would roughly translate in American to "Guts". It suggests courage, tenacity, steadfastness and an indomitable will. This best describes this knife, which was inspired by famous Scandinavian custom knife maker, Tapio Wirkkala.
