The Mountain Skinner was designed as a True Skinning Blade with the point just Slightly higher then the Top Line of the Spine. It will do the job very well without the point any higher than necessary. The Point is Fine but not Fragile and is great for starting Cuts and in a choke up hold--can do all the fine work you need. The body of the Blade is Stout and Razor sharp for Sweeping cuts to remove meat and do slicing Chores. You will find this knife to be a handy size and a very useful addition to your Hunting Kit. The Micarta handle is virtually indestructable. Once installed, the finished handle is totally impervious to heat, cold, dampness and even total immersion in water or oil. Handle features a finger guard and pommel made of 6061 aircraft aluminum. A Deluxe Leather Sheath is included.
