The Bark River Knife & Tool Fox River is the full size hunting and field knife of the Professional Series. This larger knife has been designed as a general purpose knife. It has all the fast handling characteristics of the Highland Special, with a bit more handle girth, blade height and length. You will find it to be the perfect hunter's companion. The Fox River easily handles field dressing chores from medium game like whitetail up to the largest game animals in North America. The balance point is just behind the first finger so that you have maximum edge control for finer cutting. With the weight under 6 ounces the Fox River is light on the belt and easy to pack or carry. Construction is full exposed tang. The handle scales are both pinned and epoxied for a lifetime of reliable use. The Tigerstripe G-10 handle finishes up beautifully with a nice mild texture that aids in gripping without being sticky in the hand. We have chosen the Micarta because it is virtually indestructable. Once installed, the finished handle is totally impervious to heat, cold, dampness and even total immersion in water or oil. No maintenance is necessary even when exposed to animal blood in the field. Handle features a nickel silver Lanyard slot. Leather belt sheath is included.
