Errors and Mistakes on this site:
As we are only human, sometimes we will make mistakes when formatting the pages of this site. As such, if you encounter a typographical error such as a product with a $0.00 price tag, it will not be honored. Instead, your order will be cancelled, we will correct the mistake as soon as possible, and you will be invited to reorder said product.
Daves Knife World will attempt to match prices with other dealers in good standing. Price matching requires the following conditions: the item must be in stock at the competing vendor, and available for immediate shipment. We will not match prices on out of stock merchandise, Close-out items, and loss leaders.
Backorders and Pre-Orders:
For all Backorders and merchandise described as "Pre-Order item", we will send you an email notification containing your order specifics and an estimated date of arrival. Items which are not in stock at time of your order (except Special Order items) will typically be back in stock within 5-10 business days. Backordered items are shipped when we receive them. All backorders and pre-orders will be filled on a "first come, first serve" basis. You will be notified (via email) when the merchandise arrives.If you do not want a backorder, let us know and we will cancel your order . We will also send you a shipping notification with tracking number information, upon shipment.
Special Orders are for specific items which we do not typically stock, and are usually placed over the phone. Please note: There is normally a 2-4 week wait for special order items. Of course, we will provide a refund or replacement for those Special Order items which are defective.
Returns Of Merchandise:
Our Return Policy is as follows: For merchandise received damaged or defective the customer will be responsible for shipping merchandise either back to us or directly to the manufacturer for a warranty claim. If we have a replacement item, we in turn will pay shipping costs to return the replacement item. Please email us prior to requesting the return of a product and we will email to you a detailed Merchandise Return procedure. Regarding any international returns, the customer will be responsible for Customs, Duties and any other additional shipping costs. Any Non-Defective items returned will have a 20 % restocking fee assessed and the customer will assume shipping costs. Natural handle materials (e.g. Stag Horn, Sheep Horn, Mother of Pearl, Burl Wood) are not warranted by Daves Knife World and are usually not covered by a manufacturer's warranty. (Preventive measures can be used to preserve natural handle materials - yet natural aging and change sometimes can not be avoided.) Please note: Any returned item must be in the same condition as it was shipped (brand new, unused, undamaged, resellable) and must be received by us within 14 days of the date you receive your order. If the returned item is out of stock, we will issue a refund (Credit) based on the original purchase price.
International Orders and Shipping Specifics:
NOTE: Any and all INTERNATIONAL purchases require a quote first for Shipping and Handling Charges to the country of origin. For all International sales, the customer will be responsible for Customs, Duties and any other additional shipping costs. Important Note: Orders to be shipped outside of the US will be shipped in accordance to international customs - it is your responsibility to make sure that the product is legal at it's destination. If any merchandise is seized by customs, we will not replace your order. If any item is stolen from a parcel after the parcel clears U.S. Customs, we will not replace the item. It will be the customer's responsibility to process a claim with the appropriate party for any stolen merchandise. We will calculate the ACTUAL shipping based on your carrier preference, and charge the appropriate amount to your order. Our drop-ship facility is located in California, and all delivery estimates are based from that location.
